Holiday Baking in Level A

Yesterday we made sugar cookies.
First we mixed the sugar and butter.
Second we added the vanilla and egg.
Third we added the baking soda and flour.
We mixed after every cup.
Fourth we divided the dough into half.
Fifth we rolled out the dough.
Sixth we dipped the cookie cutters in flour
and made cookies.
Seventh we baked the cookies for 8 to 10 minutes.
Today we will decorate the cookies and eat them.

Level A: Self Portraits

First, we turned off the lights.
Next, we drew the shadows.
Then, we turned on the lights and wrote about our lives.
Finally, we glued images from magazines to our papers.

Level B: Jessica Cox's Life

In November, all learners at Arlington studied the topic of disabilities.

Level B studied the life of Jessica Cox. They researched her life on the internet, watched videos, and read her life story in class. Then, they worked together to write about what they learned.
